Tosoh's operations in Singapore started out on October, 4, 1997 as Tosoh Fine Chemicals Pte Ltd, functioning as a regional sales office for products from Tosoh's Organic Chemicals Division, mainly ethyleneamines and their derivatives. (TEDA/Toyocat®)
Later it merged with Tosoh SMD Singapore Pte Ltd to become Tosoh Singapore Pte Ltd in June, 1, 2002, adding on to its existing portfolio electronic materials related products.
Finally, as of January 2, 2008, Tosoh Singapore Pte. Ltd. officially changed its name to Tosoh Asia Pte. Ltd. to reflect Tosoh's rapidly expanding business in Southeast Asia, South Asia and the Middle East.
