Since 1980, Tosoh has been producing halogenated intermediates, particularly bromine compounds, which are important intermediate materials for a wide variety of chemicals, agrochemicals, flavors and fragrances. Today, Tosoh is a major bromine manufacturer and its halogenated intermediates are widely accepted in both domestic and foreign markets. At present, Tosoh supplies approximately 200 halogenated compounds with demand steadily increasing. In particular, Tosoh Asia (TSAS) handles the following two products:
1-Bromo-3-Chloropropane (BCP) Tosoh has a top share position of BCP in the world. Manufactured at a dedicated plant in Nanyo, Tosoh's BCP is an essential intermediate for pharmaceuticals and agrochemicals.
Hydrobromic acid 48% (HBr) Possessing high reactivity and unique physical properties, our hydrobromic acid is an indispensible raw material for organic intermediates, inorganic pharmaceuticals, photosensitive materials, dyes, and medicines including lithium bromide and terephthalic acid
